Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984) is better known by her stage name Aisling Bea is an Irish actor, writer and comedian. Bea started appearing as part of the cast on Irish or British TV programs in the year 2009, began her career by performing stand-up comedy in 2011. Bea began performing regularly on sketch comedy and sitcoms from 2012. After her victory at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, she was booked for a variety of panel shows. Bea's mom Helen, who is also an instructor for jockeys and a former professional jockey was responsible for the care of her daughter as well as Sinead. The family was fascinated by racing and horses. Bea was a guide at The Irish National Stud in her young days. But she was aware it wasn't something she wanted to do as a profession and preferred doing.
